The base affects how natural the hairline looks, how breathable the system feels, how easy it is to attach and clean, and how long it lasts.

Start with three questions

1. Is your hairline visible? Thin skin with V-loop and lace fronts are designed for the most natural-looking front.
2. How active are you? Lace is more breathable; skin is usually simpler to handle.
3. How much upkeep do you want? Skin bases are generally easier to clean and re-attach.
