What Is a V-Loop?

September 30, 2026

V-loop is a way of attaching hair to a thin skin base. Instead of tying a knot, each hair is looped through the base in a V shape, so the hair appears to come directly out of the base.

Why it's used

  • No visible knots, which helps create a natural-looking hairline and parting
  • Common on thin skin bases

Good to know

  • Because the hair isn't knotted, gentle handling and washing help reduce shedding over time.

Which SalesOnix systems use it?

Everyday uses V-loop ventilation all over. Long-Lasting uses V-loop at the front hairline (approx. 1/2") with single split knots on the rest of the base.
